One neat thing about the credit union account is direct deposits often clear a day early. Moved a little savings jigger into brokerage, and updated accounts registers. Brewed a half-cup of nectar for the hummer feeder. A half-cup is the same volume I water my zygocactus on Wednesdays and Sundays, and 2x/week is a good frequency to refresh the hummer feeder. Synchronized.
For some years I used Equate "sensitive skin" triclosan face wash as a general body wash. It lathered nicely. Then triclosan became a dirty word so I switched to J+J Clean+Clear Foaming Facial Cleanser ("step 1"). Along the way I got more interested in body-safeness (i.e., non-toxicity) of body washes with the same lathering qualities. The magic chemical is glycerin, technically a sugar alcohol. Glycerin (C3H8O3) is essentially a product of lipid and lye (NaOH or KOH; potassium or sodium hydroxide). As some might remember from the movie (or book, I suppose) "Fight Club", glycerine also happens to be the backbone of nitroglycerin. We are not aiming for explosives here, just a nontoxic body wash with a superior lathering quality.
Amazon sells lots of liquid glycerin soaps. Their purity and profit margin (the price of the "organic" tag) are questionable. Mal*wart should also have plain, pure glycerin in the HBA section (near bandages?).
