Sat Morning Serenity at Living Word beginner meeting: Chair's Choice, sharing about "creativity" We may be great at creative production (outwardly-directed), and yet stalled on inward-directed creativity: e.g. creating an inner "safe space" free from habitual self-reproach, etc. Our family dysfunction taught us to deny feelings, talents, desires, experiences. Part of recovering self-acceptance is learning to honor our own creativity. The other day I expressed the feeling that if Dad was "just some ... (...more)

Natl Ctr for Employee Ownership: 100 Largest U.S. EO Companies It's no secret that nonprofits often consider their mission a spiritual benefit that offsets less-than-competitive pay scales. If that's not working for you, but you can't bear "going full evil" either, then employee-owned companies tend to retain a good deal of humanity without sacrificing as much tangible reward. This becomes the root of your personal filing system. Then when you want to set up an automated backup process, that's the folder it w... (...more)

Wed home stretch: beans+rice, Johnsonville jalapeno cheese sausages and sweet plantains for dinner, finished S1 of Better Call Saul. Slept in til 9ish, had a big glass of water instead of coffee, and the last JD muffin. Acct records update, still waiting for funds to transfer into the CU acct. By 1pm I wasn't having a caffeine wdrawal headache per se but clearly I wasn't exactly functional either. Had a cup plus half a 200mg tablet, vacuumed, showered. I've had a ProtectedText account for a while. It... (...more)
