sent 2017 documentation to my tax guy weeded filing from my pile shelved Meeting Jesus in the Gospel of John transcribed a couple pages of 1993 journals Caf boost ~noon in preparation for a jog If the M.Lake Loop is .8mi then 4 laps is about a 5K. I did 2 laps, so, 1.6mi, in maybe 35 minutes? at mixed speeds from walk to jog. No sprints yet, I need to recondition my CV and pulmonary health first. If I had to give a capsule characterization of the ministries EC's grant programs supported, it'd look like this: food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless services, youth and senior activity programs. "Homeless shelters" wouldn't be accurate, as true housing services like Family Promise have big exclusionary restrictions. We would have liked to support homeless shelters but political spin and NIMBY entitlement made it hard to pitch to taxpayers or facilitate in the kinds of neighborhoods workers and volun... (...more)

10:30 worship at Good Shepherd UCC. I didn't know much of anything about the UCC before Miss researched them. Similar to an Episcopal service, less one scripture reading (the epistles), one hymn... and the rite of Communion. Chatted with a parishioner (former UCC minister himself) who introduced me to the pastor, Rev. Carla. Saw the runaway blockbuster Black Panther this morning. There's some sobering plot questions about what it means to be loyal to a nation or a throne, when that throne is occupied by a technically-rightful, but morally devoid and unworthy upstart.

Castle Age's latest promo is 8 copies of general Aethyx for 235 FP. (q.v. a previous promo for 8 copies of Dawn.) Thinking about how I use Aethyx, I'll take a pass on spending $90ish to rank up from 1 to 6 and buy out accessories. I thought "even if I hit the lottery I hope I have better things to do with my time than dig that deep into Castle Age". There's a disconnect of logic there though - if unlimited play money would preclude aging my castles, then why do working-class stiffs play Castle Age at al... (...more)
