Lunch: Chipotle. On the walk down the block, I was accosted by beggars twice, one simply asking for spare change, another part of a pack of 3 sus individuals. The latter very specifically wanted the Kebab + Curry buffet; Chipotle would not do. What's that old saying about beggars and choosing? It felt scammy, so I politely disengaged.

Is there anything Reddit doesn't know? Even if a panhandler isn't asking for cash, usually it's what they're aiming for. Someone asking for "gas money" who mysteriously declines a lift to the gas station? Their story will grow to discourage anything that gets in the way of the cash handoff. Stretch didn't want me to drop in for the buffet lunch and treat him too, he wanted someone too busy for non-takeout to fork over some cash.

Of course some pundits and trolls had to jump in to pretend a plausible reason for pickyness was Chipotle = food poisoning, as if "curry" and "buffet" aren't even more synonymous with digestive challenges and illness risks lol.
