alarm at 6:30 but I'm unhabituated so I rolled over and dreamed - There was an IT consulting office and I don't know how I took up so much of the floor person's time without actually buying anything, first with some hardware question and then with some procedural question and then asked about how one becomes a consultant there. Eyes on the prize: military grade cardio fitness for my age. To review: Navy "probationary": 1.5mi in 15m30s, i.e. 5.8mph. I'm sure I can do that, since I can sustain 6.5mph for 1.0mi. Navy "medium satisfactory": 1.5mi in 15m15s, i.e. 5.9mph. I could probably even do that on a good day. Marine minimum: 3.0mi in 30m, i.e. 6.0mph average. Army minimum: 2.0mi in 18m42s, i.e. 6.42mph. Woke ~2AM and didn't fall back to sleep until it was starting to get light out, I know I was awake when my scheduled-task winamp alarm fired at 7:30, but I don't know if I got the shut-eye in before or after. Vitamins, coffee, a PowerBar, showered and out by 9:30ish to get some time in on my Cybex circuit before the rest of my day. The gym was busy, far busier than I expected mid-morning on a weekday. I missed a pass on chest press and arm extension, but those are two stations where I feel like I'm "ahead"... (...more)

session 70: 1x cybex circuit, and 3.3mi in a bit under 41 minutes. leg curl: 10-12x 90x; 12x 70# leg press: 12x 230#; 16x 190# overhead press: 10-12x 70#; 10-12x 30# arm curl: 12x 50#; 6x 30#; 10x 10# one-handed each side ab crunch: 12x 110#; 12x 70# (90#?) arm extension: 10-12x 70#; more slow at 30# chest press: 6x 110# (new level!); 6x 90# That's right; I busted out a set at challenge weight levels on each machine, then I rested a minute and put in more reps at an easier weight setting.
