Problem is I don't have much account history to establish the credit rating component the CU was interested in seeing. They recommended to get a loan where I can, and in 6 months with some combined trade line and card history, I can apply at the CU with a good likelihood of acceptance and a somewhat better rate.
They recommended buying through Enterprise's fleet sales arm, and recommended against OffLeaseOnly. Problem with Enterprise is... they're selling cars from their rental stock. Who rents a manual economy car? So they had a couple manual Honda Fits in the nation, zero Yaris or Versa.
