It was an "off" day in that I missed my best time by 2 minutes, and I can't even blame a late lunch or fighting off a cold or whatever. It was a satisfactory day in that I matched my best half-lap speed (7.0) for a half-lap and a little more, to show that I can; and put in 2 laps at a jog, again just to show that I can. Not long ago I couldn't do these things. My last running session was Wednesday, so after almost a week off the 'mill I feel pretty good about performing to today's level.
Subway: Steak, egg + cheddar on oregano/parmesan bread, with tomato, pickle, cucumber, black olive, spinach, chipotle dressing. And a pint of Steel Reserve. Tomorrow's breakfast: steak melt, same bread, swiss cheese (fuckers ran out of provolone just like they were out of whole-wheat bread and ran out of yellow egg mid-sandwich), pickle, banana pepper, jalapeno and ranch dressing. (yes, jalapeno can be a breakfast sandwich pepper, even for gringo Subway patrons like yours truly, so blow me, or chupa mi pinga as they say in jalapeno land).
