Yesterday was supposed to be a "gym day" - I went Sunday, normal off-day Monday, under the weather Tuesday, best 3.3mi time yet Wednesday, normal off-day Thursday.

Thursday through today have been a nagging solid wall of low atmospheric pressure, and combined with the short days and my usual pattern of holiday anxiety, I've been dragging ass. So yesterday I managed to make an oil change appointment for Monday, and while I was there, inquire about the cost of repairing the Lancer's passenger-side window motor. Parts is a bit under $200 and labor is $94ish... ergo just not gonna happen this year. Thank goodness it's just the passenger side.

Anyway, I kept thinking "ok I'mma grab something to eat when I get out", and then I ended up not getting out until unusually late. So by the time I left Avant's ~2:45, I was ravenous, hit Checkers for the 2-for-$3 sandwich deal, and tacked on a half pound of chicken bites as an afterthought. That's how my brain works when I pass a certain hunger point: "so hungry... must eat twice..."

I finished punching myself in the face with Checkers by ~3:15, the office closed up at 5, so needless to say I was still in a food semi-coma as I passed the gym. With the way the weather was affecting my mood, I might not have stopped there even if I wasn't so stuffed.

I think I crashed by 6:30 and didn't wake until almost 10, so naturally I was awake until 6AM, caught maybe 4 hours sleep, and today my switch seems to be stuck on "hungry".
