I was perspiring before I even got to the gym - not sure what that was about - and I have never had sweat running down my legs like I did by the third set today.
As evidenced by the sleeplessness, not just last night but several nights running, I need to back off caffeine. Ergo, rather than my usual large coffee on the way to the office, I went with an unsweet iced tea, and as luck would have it, it was on sale for $.99 instead of the usual $2.09 or whatever. Lunch: chicken caesar salad from Harbor City.
Planned to hit the treadmill after the office, and I did manage to wrap up there by 4:30. I had made a note to target alternating hi-speed half-laps (8.0) and full-lap challenge speeds (7.0-7.3). What actually happened was, lunch was still weighing on my gut, so I went with endurance speeds: 1mi at 6.5mph, cooldown, 1 lap at 6.0, cooldown, 3 laps at 6.0, cooldown, finish at 6.0 for a total 3.3mi time of 40m02s.
