As I was approaching the entrance, a guy came out who I recognized from the photos on their web page. Doc Aaron (the acupuncturist who I knew from years back at Nakava) had mentioned when we reconnected recently that he knew the owner, that he stopped in once a week to arm-wrestle him. So I approached and asked if he was the owner and explained I'd recognized him from pics on the web page, shook his hand said it was nice to meet him.
session 73: 3x cybex circuit shooting for high weight, followed by 3.3mi shooting for high speeds. On machines where I could only do 5-8 reps, I took a minute to recover and did more reps at the next lower weight. At 8:30ish on a Saturday the gym was empty enough that I could use pretty much any machine I wanted, when I wanted. Also, I discovered some older lower-body stations way in the back in the upper-body room, a little worn but certainly usable. So I had that area mostly to myself through 3 sets.

After a lap at easy walking speed to cool off and recover from the weight circuit, I took a half-lap at 8.2mph, cooldown, a half-lap at a new record high 8.5mph, cooldown, a full lap at 7.5, cooldown, another lap at 7.5, cooldown, a lap at 6.5 and I think I managed another lap at 5.7, cooldown, lost track, finished with a last lap at 6.3 and over 45 minutes on the clock. Which is fine, I don't care about total time on speed challenge days.
Lunch: a long cold drink of V8, and half a Subway footlong tuna sammich. Followed by a nap.
