Pretty much lost my discipline of treadmill sessions recordkeeping beyond tweeting; eventually I'm sure I'll get around to filling in the blanks in my spreadsheet and if I ever get Phosphoros hooked up with a post-date-fixing facility I'll get that (and my LJ) ported here too. For that matter, I misplaced my discipline of getting on the treadmill at all for about a month. Quick recap:
July 10: #119, 3.3mi
July 12: #120a, 2.5mi, tripped emergency stop, lost groove and called it a day
July 13: #120b, and an impressive 4.0mi all at a 5.1mph jog.
Aug 9: #121, 3.3mi (yes almost a month break)
Aug 13: #122, 3.3mi Aug 21: #123 and #124, 3.3mi ea. (yes over a week break)

SO... Maybe it's sheer coincidence, but in mid-late June I resolved to make it a 4mi session if I skipped more than 2 days between sessions. And once or twice I did "make it up", maybe not the next session but the session after. Then I hit that spell of just not feeling like it, at all; so I think there's a correlation where I head to the gym and in my gut I know I can hack 3.3mi, but it sucks the satisfaction out of it to have it hanging over my head that my superego expects 4mi. So fuck you, superego! I'm abandoning that rule! and returning to reward-based internal motivations to keep myself excelsioring.

Also, during that month of downtime, I decompressed enough financially that I treated myself to a pizza and some hot wings. The sodium, cheese, pepperoni and SR to wash it all down provoked feet swelling indicative of hypertension, plus borderline toe-joint soreness reminiscent of that acute gout attack around the end of 2008/beginning of 2009. Not a full-blown recurrence that left me hobbling, but a strong enough reminder that I'm backing off my SR indulgence and resigned to constraining my dietary choices until I lose a significant amount of weight.

2 cups coffee instead of one (might have provided a psychological kick to get me to run #1 of the day, can't really credit it for run #2), in immediate succession. The usual vitamins and banana muffin. Egg+cheese on a multigrain bagel and a large iced tea after the morning run, a few sips of wine and a few sips of smilk and 2 scramble wraps and a lot of water after the evening run.
