Comparison might be a thief of joy but it is not the only thief of joy
breakfast burrito wrap p.index showdown:
- Mission 8ct Burrito Flour Tortillas (10" Super Soft): 5g protein / 210 cal = .0238 p.index
- La Banderita 10ct Flour 8" Soft Taco Tortillas: 3g protein / 140 cal = .0214 p.index
Bottom line: I prefer the texture, taste and size of the La Banderita, and I'm fine with sacrificing 2g protein with such a marginal p.index difference.
Somehow my smrt fon is coming up on 4 years old (2020-12-05). It was ~$230 after tax. If I think about the feature advance from the previous unit (Huawei Honor 7x, 5.93", 8-core, 3 / 32GB) to the Moto G Power 2020 (6.3", 8-core, 4 / 64GB), and adjusting for inflation, it's probably worth up to $300 for a 2024 equivalent. Maybe even simply the Moto G Power 2024 (6.58", 8-core, 8 / 128GB).
I said my browser bookmarks are harmonized with the other filesystems' index scheme but now I think about it, that hasn't been true for some time now.
Investigating that led me down a rabbit hole - I had DOS batch scripts from 2012~13 from when I was fiddling with MySQL databases regularly and aiming to secure backups with TrueCrypt vaults. There are undoubtedly many more decade+ old files that could use to be harmonized, condensed and/or retired.
roast chickpeas ala LoveAndLemons
1 Whole Foods box of wet chickpeas is 3 servings of 8g protein / 170 cal each
= .0471 p.index, into the "good" (grade B food choice) range.
If you toss them with 2 tbsp of EVOO then you probably end up with only 1 tbsp (120 cal) across 3 servings,
i.e. adding 40 cal per serving.
8g.p / 210 cal = .0381 p.index, a mid-"mediocre" / C-grade protein snack choice.
Probably better if you back off the EVOO, and let's try them plain/unsalted next time:
