Some buzz had reachedme about an Anglican high official's resignation, due to implication in an abuse cover-up, but I didn't connect it with THE Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby at the time.
It's hip among sectarians and antitheists alike to point and say "THAT church has lost its way". Welby himself mouthed that fake piousness at some world Anglican synod when the American Episcopal church started blessing same-sex marriages. The bottom line is: whole sects don't "lose their way" unless their written tenets explicitly abdicate lovingkindness. Until then, until the testimony of values is corrupted, condemnation belongs to the individuals who cherry-pick and weaponize secondary dogmas to cover their contempt for the foremost laws: love God, "love one another as I have loved you", "do unto others as ye would be done by".
