Fresh from the fridge and pop the top - malty scent, dense creamy head, uncomplimentary sweet and yeast flavor, weak carbonation and syrupy mouthfeel, and an unpleasant chemical-vanilla aftertaste. Set the rest of the bottle aside aside to warm up and breathe a few minutes.

On a hunch, I added a scoop of dutch chocolate ice cream to that disappointing first pour and stirred a bit. Definitely a match made in heaven.
