Since I crossed the under-215# bar, I've cared less about deducting the .6 lbs representing my morning cup of cocoa if I don't weigh in first thing in the morning.
4+ months into Bluesky use, I'm confident in the federated social media platform model vs. the problms of commercial platforms shaped by profit and the profiteers' political agendas. Seems the currently leading "fediverse" alternative to Reddit is Lemmy, which feels a bit sparse yet. Although Friendica sounds objectively more featureful/flexible, Mastodon as a Facebook alternative has pulled ahead due to marketing. Friendica sounds like a more true "aggregator" - according to the Wikipedia entry, able to integrate contacts (and pull content into newsfeeds) from ActivityPub (incl Mastodon), Diaspora, and Bluesky. That sounds like a lot of fiddling with user settings but I guess I'll just have to see for myself.
