- sort, rinse, boil 2 min in 7 cups water, soak 8 hr
- add 1 c. chopped onion, 1 can diced tomato, chili powder, lemon juice, garlic, 1 lb 12 oz sliced sausage
- simmer covered 30-45 min, add seasoning packet, simmer another 2 min.
