Saturday or Sunday I rebooted my fon because something was acting wonky, I forget what. And for I think the third time since I got this device now, something blocked my lock screen customizations when I restarted so it defaulted to the blah stock clock. One of the jammed settings was "Lift to Wake", which I don't want. There's a mechanical button on the side of the device, and I don't want the screen to wake unless I press that button. In popular parlance we call it the "power" button but the way these devices work, it's really more of a "wake" button innit. It's bad enough they put a fingerprint reader in the power button, which means anyone can unlock your phone if they have access to your finger.
I don't know what I twiddled to deactivate Lift to Wake but it's off now. And I think I toggled a "Show Clock (when available)" setting that restored the lock screen layout customizations.
