I do want to circle back to "Boiling Point" sometime but due to the mumbly sound level,
we fell back on "12 Angy Men" (1957). Now I also want to see the 1997 remake.

30-minute treadmill sessions have become standard, alternating HIIT sprints of 1 minute or more at 7.5 to 7.7 mph, or 45-50 sec at 8.5 mph, between walks of 2.2 to 2.7mph to let pulse settle to 130bpm. Sometimes I like to start with a quarter-mile jog, where 6.0 mph is do-able; but it's a little depressing that the quarter mile feels like such a wall.
It's always shadowed by a consciousness that once upon a time, I was able to sustain a whole 5K at a jog. 11? years later I'm not sure if my best time was a 30-minute 5K, or 3 miles in slightly less than 30 minutes, or some other distance/time in that ballpark. Whatever it was, it met the probationary Marine-grade cardio fitness metric for my age at the time. That was a towering milestone after a lifetime of feeling not-athletic, and years of steady weight gain and teetering on the edge of an unhealthy relationship with alcohol after quitting smoking in 2007.
