leg press 3x12x180; 20x160# ... why regressing?
lat pulldown 2x20x85#, 2x20x90# ... progress here tho
shoulder press 3x20x30#; 17x30# on the last set. Work to failure is good.

I set the leg-press seat a notch closer to the foot plate, to work deeper into the knee flex than usual. That compressed the belly more at the rest position, which in turn impinged more on lung space - so I had trouble finding a rhythm where I felt I could take a full breath during each rep, and I was more short-of-breath than usual after each set. I think the deeper flex and lung compression together explain the load regression. I thought about possible low glycogen reserves, but if that was a significant factor then we'd have seen low performance on the upper-body parts of the circuit too. I had trouble finding a good full-breath rhythm that felt easy Feeling ... oxygenated? was the main hurdle on leg press. I found myself a bit more short-of-breath than usual after each set and One practical difference is that I set the seat a notch closer to the foot plate to work deeper into the knee angle; this compresses the belly, so adipose impinges on lung volume. Also maybe big leg muscles still recovering some from Wednesday's sesh; maybe a little low on glycogen reserves. I would expect pulldown/shoulder press performance to also eb small (i.e. wastebasket) trash bags where?
