I found DI.fm (or perhaps a since-defunct internets radio station) back in my Pepto Bismol Palace days. (Hard to think how much time has slipped past me since then.) Looking at "last modified" dates (because Windows bungles "created" dates), I lit on a few tracks on 2007-09-29 (Hardcore to the Bone, Extreme Terror, Renegade Returns) and then I guess I kept it fresh mostly with intertubes radio. Then there was another small wave from 2010-05-17 to 05-20: Hurricane Pain, Eff the Tatas. Then all-online again until ~2011-10, which was when I got a hold of DJ Freeze's Vol 12 set. For reference, according to a recent gabber.fm article, "gabber" is the same as "oldschool hardcore". Not sure I buy that, but I guess they should know, shouldn't they.

Being housebound all week I revisited my Alpha Centauri / Alien Crossfire habit. Not sure why I keep doing this to myself, other than the fact it somewhat helps keep my mind off my mind. If I can't build The Planetary Energy Grid and fusion-powered units by turn 100, the game is lost to me. The game-start algorithm is very stingy about the perfect storm of being given a spare colony pod to start and placing you on a large land mass.

Brunch: A "deprecated" recipe scramble dog wrap (28g protein, 467 kcal) to run down my american process cheese food and Mission "carb balance" tortillas, since I learned different cheeses and wraps are far better choices. Snack/carb-up: a PB powersauce and maybe half a serving of smilk (13g, 300 kcal).
Back in the gym after a week's break: 197# weigh-in. Ambitious attempt at stepping up an increment to the first 2 laps at 5.3mph, then decrementing .1mph per lap thereafter. And I managed to keep it together for the first mile (2 laps at 5.3, 3rd at 5.2, 4th at 5.1), I may have actually gotten to 1.5mi on that plan but my brainmeats were overheated so I don't rightly remember. The gym was oppressively under-cooled, it's like they figured oh, it's cool out today, let's not bother circulating any air at all. So I took a cooldown. After that I went back to 5.3 and rapidly heated up again, another cooldown before the final 2 laps, 2nd to last at 5.5 and last at 5.1 I think. Not a bad session. Gym closes at 3 tomorrow for Xmas Eve, maybe I'll get another run in before Xmas. And visit my mailbox.
Dinner: Chipotle chx salad "A" (no dressing, 2x meat, blk beans, red tomatillo salsa, guac): 76g protein, 700 kcal. This put me at a net 1137 kcal deficit for the day.
Before Chipotle I shopped a little Xmas cheer at the ABC store in the same strip mall, so for dessert we have a bottle of Sanders Chocolate Stout, for an estimated 234 kcal, still a 900 kcal deficit. For an Xmas Day treat in my coffee there's also Stoli Vanil (est. 60 kcal/shot). Considered Wild Turkey 101 but the only size they had was 1.5L, which just wasn't gonna happen. Anyway, the Sanders - one of the better chocolate stouts I've ever had, in that it does have some cocoa notes and no pronounced chemical flavor (ref. Breckinridge Vanilla Porter review).
