yep, too much coffee, disrupted sleep, exhausted today

Picked up a nice half-cantaloupe for what seemed like a fair price, and had that for breakfast. For a complex of reasons I'd pretty much forsaken fresh fruit, aside from brief and isolated banana kicks, ever since Casa Cucaracha.

For lunch, the second half of a Subway dbl chx footlong, and the 3rd of four carrot cupcakes I'd bought for Xmas breakfast.

Shifted running focus back to higher speed. When I fell off the exercise wagon earlier in the year, I was capable of full laps at 7.5mph. So the fact that I was able to do a lap at 7.1mph was a good sign. Even so, I had to work up to it - warmed up for a lap, attempted 7.1 and could only do 3/4 lap, cooled down, tried again and got winded by the 3/4 lap mark, cooled down again and got the full lap on the third try. Chuffed, I shifted back to longer stretches at 5.5 descending by lap.

A couple glasses of red wine and ye olde burritos trio for supper yields a 667 kcal deficit.
