My recipe source said 32g protein per serving at 8 servings per double-recipe; cross-checking with other references says a pound raw of ground turkey yields 90g protein, so a double recipe is 180g, and 1/8th of that is only 22.5g. The whole 1.5qt recipe of bean stew is 68g protein, round off to 11g for what I actually put in the chili. That only raises the protein per serving to around 24g, still 25% short of the original lean-ground-beef variation. So I'm not sure what to make of all that. Maybe a pessimistic 1/3 of the way from 48 to 64, call it 54g per 2 servings. Incidentally, I probably could have gone with 1/4 or even a whole 1/3 of the beans recipe.
Very, very productive meeting in Boynton Beach. A patch of sun broke through the rain on my way back. How very symbolic. The upshot of the whole meeting makes me feel like this:
I had just enough time after to swing into Checkers for something like a lunch, namely the half-pound of chicken bites. MyFitnessPal.com says that's 616 kcal but gives no info on protein. I'mma low-guesstimate 20g.
Something of an emotional roller-coaster day, took the evening easy, another couple servings of chili for dindins.
