Gold's is probably going to "chew" a final month's bill out of me. Apparently they can open a member account on-the-spot but somehow it takes 30 days to process an exit. I really should have expected that, and finalized exit before I joined Youfit... I guess that's a $27 learning experience.

First run at Youfit wasn't remarkable, but I was feeling less-than-peak myself so it was good for what it was. Youfit does not have a scale in the main member-area; just a digital bath scale in the trainers' office. Considering the newness and high-end features of all the cardio equipment, you'd think they could invest in a proper weigh station. At 5:45 I was one of the 2 people using the 8? treadmills, so I don't foresee having to wait for a machine anytime soon.

Weigh-out was 182.3 in my sneakers, a 2# drop from my last doctor's-office-style-scale weigh-in at Gold's. So I've been averaging around 4# loss per month, down 23# from my peak ~205#, and just 11# more to my 171# (24.9 BMI) goal weight.

Why yes, the Palmetto Park Square Pubilx does have a better selection of Lean Pockets than the store close to home, specifically my preferred pretzel-turkey-bacon-cheddar variety. Also, pretty sure pricing close to home was $2.50/unit but only $2.09 at the PPS store. They also had some really perfect bananas.

Breakfast: LP turkey pretzel etc. pockets. Bank: extorted $10 for 2 printouts of transaction docs. Atty appt rendered moot due to misunderstanding about sequencing; the timing shift might render the bank doc printouts moot as well. Lunch and snacking: a serving of tortellini with pesto and a chicken tenderloin, plus 2 bananas. Got my run on at Gold's, very good but had to break my 6.3mph pace just short of 2 miles to cool off. Mixed speeds thereafter, finishing with a lap at 8.1mph for 4.0mi total in 50:10. Dinner: half a Subway sammich.
