Under the weather in a bad way. Could be worse, though... could be Oklahama, where they're getting pounded with tornadoes. Started the day (after first coffee of course) with a chopped-olive variant on the scramble dog wrap. Yum. Second coffee around noon did not help my mood. Finished last night's chicken-beans-rice-and-greens stirfry for lunch. Around 4:00 I picked up an onion and 4# (well... ok, 3.75# technically) of ground turkey from Western Beef, and some catfish and ice cream from Publix. Catfish sammiches and the last of the Franzia box merlot while onions and turkey cook down and brown. 2 onions and 3.75# ground turkey browned and cooked down to "moist" just about fills a 6-cup storage container.

The onion I had on-hand was somewhat frozen. It all turns to the same consistency when you plop it in a saucepan and brown it though. 2 medium onions and 4# of ground turkey pretty much fills my 3qt saucepan, and I'm definitely not looking at getting the canned-tomato phase of chili started tonight.
