Hard to believe my blog engine has been chugging along for 14 months. I have a few refinements in mind.
  1. A "pager" control on individual entry pages.
  2. Banner, page layout and style adjustments to increase overall information density and make more use of screen area.
  3. Facilitate post-date edits, for retrofitting old entries from other services (e.g. LJ) without twiddling the database directly.
  4. A database backup/restore mechanism.

Ever wished Windows XP let you pick and choose what time data to display in the taskbar clock? XP has an annoying habit of losing tray process tooltips under the taskbar, and the tray clock often just doesn't respond at all to mouse-overs. Today I discovered I don't have to fight with it anymore, because there's TClock Light: a free taskbar clock replacement that grants a much greater degree of configurability. My recipe execution was sloppy, due to inexperience and poor planning. First, I didn't have pinto beans ready as intended. Second, I didn't foresee the square-peg-round-hole problem of trying to cram a 2# brick of frozen ground turkey into the pot to cook down/brown with the onions and garlic. Thus the onions/garlic/turkey didn't get to brown/caramelize the way I think it should have, not in the time allotted, and probably the whole recipe suffered (a little, not terribly) for that. 2 presses of tea is a lot of hydration. Some say "sewing buttons is a skill everyone needs to know". I dunno, it's a couple weeks to my 44th birthday and I'm only just now having to sew my first button, so it can't be all that crucial. Washed all the laundries. Caught one of the chunky, jumpy arachnids that like to perch under the eaves over my door with the vacuum.
