Went to bed early-ish with alarm set for Triple Tuesday guild battle collect. I guess I killed the alarm in my sleep, but an esepcially close thunderbolt woke me ~5AM in time to collect anyway. Dropped 10FP to double my guild coin take for a total of 780 coins. (720? Whatever. 6x normal collect at any rate.) Close call - battle timer cleared and Jenna called a new one within 15 minutes.

Caught the 10:40AM showing of Pacific Rim yesterday. Can't think of any real flaw in the whole movie. The action is frequently so furious that it's just impossible to follow, but then this is endemic in action movies over the past decade or so. Broke the blender pureeing the great northern beans with spinach. Fortunately I was just about done when the blender cut out. Unfortunately I have no leads on economical repair options, a more reliable model, or a workable manual-powered option under $90. Conk... (...more)

OK so, this is hardly specific to gaming, but it's where I figured it out. A few weeks ago my Castle Age guild had a guild battle with a certain other guild, and I remarked in battle chat that I'd bounced many a time in festival duels with one of their members, and she responded that she remembered me. ("In a good way", she added, after a brief pause.) Then she sent a friend request so we struck up an ongoing casual dialogue.
